Преди осем години не бих си купила копчета без повод. В къщи имахме метална кутия с различни копчета, която помня от малка и винаги намирахме каквото ни трябваше. След това започнах да правя брошки от плат и запасите ми се увеличиха главоломно. Напоследък обаче не ги използвах много и реших да ги раздам на първия базар за годината. Разделих се с повечето от най-хубавите. Напълно бях забравила, че са част от личното ми предизвикателство за 2019 г. Ами сега? Трябваше да се справя с каквото ми беше останало.
Eight years ago I wouldn't have thought of buying buttons unless for a specific purpose. We had a tin of different buttons at home from the time I was a kid and always found what we needed in it. Then I started making fabric brooches and suddenly accumulated a button stash. I scarcely used any lately and decided to offer them up for grabs at the first craft show this year. Most of my beautiful buttons were gone. I completely forgot they were supposed to be part of my 2019 personal challenge. Oops! I had to cope with what was left.
Първоначално нямах намерение да включвам бижута в това предизвикателство, т.к. идеята беше да се разсейвам с други творчески проекти. Но как да устоиш на всички възможности, които предлагат копчетата :)
At first I had no intention of making jewelry for this challenge because the very purpose was to dive into other creative projects. But buttons are so versatile :)

The one with the big leather button was dying to become a bracelet focal :)
3. И този проект е свързан с бижута - сещате ли се за гривните ми от тръбички пейот с цветчета от мъниста? Можете да пришиете копчета вместо цветчета. Подсказка - най-добре е това да стане преди да затворите тръбичката :)
3. The next project is about jewelry again - do you recall my peyote tubes bracelets with beaded flowers? You could sew on buttons instead of flowers. Just a tip - do it before you close the tube :)
4. Коледна картичка с цветни лепенки и елхичка от копчета. В предишния й вариант (опа, издадох се, че проектът не е нов) бях зашила копчетата с червен конец и бях добавила копче за коледна звезда. Сега съм ги закрепила с лепящи точки. Имам ги от години и ги използвам за първи път. Все пак идеята не беше да се повтарям, нали?
4. Christmas card with washi tapes and button tree. In its previous variant (oops, now you know it's not a new project) I had sewed on the buttons with red thread and had added a colorful one on top for the star. Now I used glue dots. I've had them for ages and had never used them before. After all, the idea was to make something new, right?
И така, отметнах първото предизвикателство, остават още три :)

the Wire and button clasps idea is genius. Thank you for sharing the tutorial again. I guess I missed seeing it the first time around. I think that the leather focal bracelet will be a great addition to your menswear line (women can wear it too!). Good luck for your ribbon and gift wrapping challenge - maybe you could combine them for the holiday season.

ИзтриванеI'm sure you know that I love me some buttons. And, I love what you've done with them here. I'm especially digging that first set of incorporating them into the bracelets as closures. I think I need to sacrifice some of mine to make something similar. Your's are so great. In fact, all these projects are great! Good for you on tackling one of your personal challenges!
