A challenge... at last / Най-сетне предизвикателство...

Don't get me wrong - I know challenges are all around us. But I felt stuck lately until I came across this challenge. I knew what I wanted to make right away but had a hard time finding the art bead, which was one of the requirements. Finally, I bought a necklace and used the pendant as a focal. The artist Zvezdalina Laskova was kind enough to permit the use of her enameled ceramic pendant in my design (here is the Facebook page with her jewelry creations). I bought the other clay beads here and here and the leather cords here. This is the video that gave me the idea to use colored leather cord knots as spacers.

Here is what I made...

...with the clasp.

Тhe focal bead has most of the colors of the challenge.

These are the colors I chose to highlight.

I will definitely wear this necklace and hence the choice of the clasp (I am allergic to non-precious metals) - a clay bead with a large hole that was pretty hard to pass both ends of the cord through, so it holds well. This bead was from my stash but the colors matched the challenge :)

And you know what? I'm definitely making a bracelet... and more necklaces...

    1. Thank you, Divya! I was very pleased with this design myself as I wanted the pendant to be center stage. Even so, it took me two years to make more jewelry in the same style.
