Минавам набързо да споделя една хитринка за закопчаването на нанизи на закалена тел (тип "мемори"). Специално за тях правя едни красиви закопчалки от медна тел 1.2 мм, но се оказа, че има опасност да се разкопчаят заради пружинирането на закалената тел. Затова купих още по-дебела тел - 1.5 мм и направих по-обикновена кукичка с издължен край, който минава покрай конусовидното капаче (също ръчно правено) и така предотвратява случайното разкопчаване. I usually make ornate 14 Ga copper wire closures especially for them but they might open due to the springiness of memory wire. So I got some thicker wire and made the hook with a long end. It reaches down the handmade cone cap thus preventing the closure from accidental opening. Just in case I haven't explained it well, take a look at the pictures below.

Разбира се, може да поставите обикновена закопчалка-щипка. Но според мен тя не се вписва сред останалите ръчно изработени компоненти.
Of course, you could use a lobster clasp. But I don't think it would fit in with all the handmade components.
Until I saw this post, I never realized that memory wire necklaces need clasps. I always assumed that people used the balled ends to finish the necklace/bracelet and that it stayed put that way due to the tension.
ОтговорИзтриванеI, too, have seen seed bead memory wire necklaces that don't need a clasp but my pendants are heavy and pull the necklace down. As for the balled ends - no, I haven't seen balled memory wire nor have I tried to ball it. I use the torch to make it more pliable in order to make a double loop and hide it in the cone. But I'm sure that a multi-strand choker won't need a clasp - just to find a way to hide the ends successfully :)
