I / Craft Show - Newbie Edition, Part I

Another step up - I took part  in the craft show for art jewelry and accessories On the Upper Shelf, organized by Atelier Marabu! I was overwhelmed - the preparation, setting the display, first visitors, first sale and the neighbors - an eclectic group of unique jewelry makers, working with different techniques and materials, including recycled stuff. The location, room and lighting were perfect and there were drinks, snacks and gourmet chocolate, etc. I exhibited basically a collection of my signature wire woven sea glass jewelry.

These are not all the new pieces but I had technical issues with taking pictures right before the show (of course!).

The pins

I also made pendants with natural stones and smaller ones as well but they were not that popular.

Silver plated wire pendants with natural stones and Swarovski pearls and crystals.

I had only two months to prepare and decided to go with ready-made displays.  But there were some DIY elements, too - I used miniature tripod and canvas sets, painted with chalk board paint as price displays and a mini pillow from a wrist watch packaging as brooch display. I even squeezed in some small giveaways - wire wrapped Christmas wreaths.

I made a small hook and put the mirror on the tower display - very handy!

You spotted the price display, right?

This bracelet display was disappointing - it was for large size bracelets only 😞

    1. My observations are controversial just like the customers :) There is a short paragraph on the subject in my draft post. Apparently, I will have to expand it :)

    1. It was both exciting and a success - I didn't make a lot but enough for my own satisfaction :) I was honored to be invited along with so many talented and creative artists! Most important, I met customers face to face and it was rewarding!
