Не съм привърженик на минимализма, но понякога се чувствам подтисната от нещата, натрупани през годините на приложни занимания (догодина ще станат десет). Не толкова заради количеството, а защото се разсейвам, като постоянно мисля как да ги оползотворя. Реших да започна да прочиствам съзнанието си и шкафчетата по най-ефективния и отговорен начин.

It's not the quantity but mostly that I am distracted by thinking how to utilize all of it. I decided to start clearing my mind and purge the cabinets in a most responsible and efficient way.
Ето какво съм направила досега:
- изхвърлих хартиени неща като стари картички, списания и т.н.
- раздадох копчета, изкуствени цветя, пера, яйца и топки от стиропор и пластмаса;
- дадох всички акрилни мъниста на човек, на когото ще му свършат добра работа;
- направих разни неща за домакинството, като тази кошница за щипки;
- направих пръстени и обици от цветна тел, рингове за ключове и шайбички, които имам отдавна и почти не съм ползвала :)
- направих обици от тези залежали цветчета от плат;

- изхвърлих хартиени неща като стари картички, списания и т.н.
- раздадох копчета, изкуствени цветя, пера, яйца и топки от стиропор и пластмаса;
- дадох всички акрилни мъниста на човек, на когото ще му свършат добра работа;
- направих разни неща за домакинството, като тази кошница за щипки;
- направих пръстени и обици от цветна тел, рингове за ключове и шайбички, които имам отдавна и почти не съм ползвала :)
- направих обици от тези залежали цветчета от плат;
- направих още обици от висулки, които не ползвам вече и стойка за пръстени от налични материали.
Here is what I've done so far:
- disposed of paper stuff like old postcards and magazines, etc.
- gave away a big stash of buttons, artificial flowers, feathers, Styrofoam and plastic eggs and balls;
- gave away all acrylic beads to someone who will put them to good use;
- DIY-ed some useful household items, like this clothespin basket;
- made rings and earrings with some colorful wire, key rings and washers I've hardly ever used;
- made earrings with some long forgotten fabric flowers;
Here is what I've done so far:

И какво планирам да направя в най-скоро време:
- да намеря начин да разчистя брошките от плат;
- да раздам или рециклирам в контейнерите за текстил някои платове;
- да използвам или раздам цветчета от прежда, вълнени топчета и дървени мъниста, оплетени на една кука;
- да изхвърля напълно негодните неща.
What I'm planning to do before the end of the year:
- find a way to clean out the fabric flowers;
- give away some of my fabric stash and recycle the rest in the special textile bins;
- use or give away some loomed flowers, felted beads and crochet covered wooden beads;
- trash the totally useless stuff.
И какво планирам да направя в най-скоро време:
- да намеря начин да разчистя брошките от плат;
- да раздам или рециклирам в контейнерите за текстил някои платове;
- да използвам или раздам цветчета от прежда, вълнени топчета и дървени мъниста, оплетени на една кука;
- да изхвърля напълно негодните неща.

"Звезди" от пликове за писма - рециклиране, един вид :) Мога да ги използвам за украса при опаковане на подаръци.
Paper stars from mail envelopes - recycling, sort of :) I could use them to decorate gift packages.
Някой трябва да избави тези мъниста от мъките им :)

Цветчета от найлонови пликчета - в подходящи случаи ги използвам за украса на подаръци. Уж е рециклиране, а в крайна сметка пак ще се окажат на бунището :( Още едно напомняне, че рециклирането трябва да бъде функционално, а не самоцелно.
Plastic bag flowers made with the flower loom - I sometimes use them to decorate gift packages. Sadly, it's a recycling project that will end up in the trash :( One more reminder that recycling should be functional.
Брошки-цветя от плат - за сведение, най-хубавите ми са продадени отдавна :) Най-вероятно ще раздавам.
Fabric brooches - OK, the most beautiful were sold long ago :) I'll have to give them away.
Със сигурност мога да изровя още ненужни неща, но списъкът и без това стана твърде амбициозен. Ето, забравих преждата! И нея трябва да раздам. Или пък да направя цветчета с формичката за цветя? Ама за какво са ми? Продължавам спора мислено :)

Wow, that is quite a long list. This year I too threw out a lot of beads from early days of Sayuri mostly plastic and coated glass but I still have a LOT of junk as well. You can use crocheted green beads with copper wire beads in your pieces to get a nice textural contrast. With fabric flowers you can attach them to a base (linearly) and make a garland or spread them out to make a cover for a small appliance. Using plastic flowers as gift toppers is a great idea. Why don't you use flowers and any other flatish ornaments as packaging toppers when you ship your jewellery or glue them to a strip of ribbon and give them away to your clients as freebie bookmarks?

ИзтриванеLook at you go! I desperately need to do something similar in my craft space as well. Instead, we're talking about extending my space into another room as my husband may move out of his office and into a building we're going to build to replace the crushed barn. Your motivation to let things go is almost contagious though, making me want to take a better look at all the stuff I have hoarded. Keep us updated on how it goes!
