Long ago, I made this statement necklace and the design has been haunting me ever since :) At last, I decided to make another one. Back then the customer wanted it on leather cord but this time I picked memory wire.

I love how memory wire makes jewelry look regal but I've noticed that even with a heavy pendant, it tends to move up towards the back because of its springiness. That's why I cut the ends shorter and make a longer closure construction with thick wire. You can find more details about this here.
I can see that the memory wire gives it the much needed structure. Perhaps adding a heavy pendant (or a double drop) in the center with lighter pendants on the side will fix your issues as gravity will keep it in place. I have seen this structure being followed in heavy Indian torques.
