Ето какво подхванах през март - опити със смола. Така хем разчистих запаси, хем изпробвах нови варианти на стари експерименти.
Here is what I started working on in March - experiments with resin. Thus I not only purged more craft stash but also tried new variants of previous experiments.
Покрих със смола една дървена висулка със залепена отгоре хартия washi.
I poured resin on a wooden pendant with washi paper.
More bottles, filled with jewelry resin. This time I added glow-in-the-dark paint and glitter.
Пак използвах силиконовия калъп с розите с леко оцветена смола. Добавих още оцветител, брокат и напълних ПРЕДПОСЛЕДНОТО шишенце! Само още един експеримент и приключвам със запасите от шишенца! Най-вероятно ще опитам с фосфоресцираща боя и брокат. Нямам търпение!
I used the silicone rose mold again with slightly tinted resin. Then I added more resin dye and glitter and filled the LAST BUT ONE bottle! One more to go and I'm done with the tiny bottles stash! I will probably try with phosphorescent paint and glitter. Can't wait!
Имах едни висулки, които не ми харесваха особено. Покрих ги със смола и посипах с брокат. Определено станаха доста ефектни.
I had those dangles I didn't like much. I covered them with resin and sprinkled with some glitter. They came out beautiful.
Понеже ми остана малко смола с фосфоресцираща боя, използвах я като лепило и набързо направих две висулки-мозайки с морско стъкло. Идеята беше "пукнатините" да са по-големи и да светят в тъмното, но в крайна сметка не изглеждат добре и затова ще ги скрия при оплитането с тел. Следващия път ще си подбера материалите за мозайките отрано и ще добавя брокат. То и брокатът трябва да се използва, нали? А идеята да ползвам смолата като лепило ми я даде Divya, за което съм й много благодарна. Така ще имам повече варианти за експерименти :)
I used the leftover phosphorescent resin as glue for two quick sea glass mosaic pendants. I was going for bigger glow-in-the-dark gaps but it didn't work. I will most likely cover them with wire. Next time I will collect all the materials in advance and will add glitter. Glitter should be used up too, right? The idea to use resin as glue was once suggested by Divya, thank you so much :) Thus there will be more room for experimenting.

Your resin experiments have turned out to be beautiful. I remember you having trouble with it in the past so I am glad that those troubles didnt stop you from trying again. Please do post a "Glowing" in the dark picture next time when you finish the pieces. I have never used GID but I would love to see how it looks.
ОтговорИзтриванеI'll see if I can take a picture, Divya :) It's a very weak glow, have you seen star stickers for the ceiling of (usually) kids rooms? It's like that. And you're right - this time was encouraging. I'm glad about the washi paper pendant, thus I can make more of these.
ИзтриванеLooks like you had a blast playing with resin. I've been doing that quite a bit here myself lately. I really like how you transformed those pendants they you didn't like previously. It a good reminder that if we don't like something, then we should try to make it something we do like. That's what we do as artists, right?
